“Good hotel and location”
A group of eighteen of us spent three nights at the Osborne Hotel at the end of January. The weather was warm and sunny and we all enjoyed our break. The hotel has an excellent location just a short walk to the sea one way and the centre of Valetta the other. Our room was fairly basic but clean well decorated and of a reasonable size with plenty of drawers and hanging space. The air conditioning/heating worked well and we had a fridge which was handy.
Our bedroom window, with shutters, opened onto a small balcony with the street below but noise was not a problem. The bathroom was fine but the toilet a bit cramped. Opening the shower door gave sufficient elbow room however!
Breakfast is fairly basic but adequate and there was plenty of it with the eggs and sausage/bacon being cooked fresh. The staff were very helpful and friendly. The bar/lounge area is of a good size and inviting with reasonably priced drinks.
All in all a comfortable hotel which gives good value for money in a prime location.

although we arrived at the hotel earlier than expected we were warmly welcomed and offered tea.
The room was adequate with everything we needed,-- the beds were comfortable and clean -loads of clothes space and a nice bathroom!
The staff were excellent -polite, friendly and courteous.and helpful.
The food was plentiful and good but not hot enough for my taste.
throughout our stay we have nothing but nice things to say about the osborne hotel and its staff.
any problems we had were dealt with and sorted out promptly.
staying in valetta was wonderful and we travelled about on the local buses with ease especially as the bus station was only a few metres from our hotel.
on the rare occasions when the menu did not meet with the approval of our youngest(age 11) we ate at the pizza place just up the street!
watching the harbour traffic from the barraca gardens was a daily pleasure.
we visited all the tourist sites on the island and recommend the open topped bus tour of the south end of malta-it was off roading by double decker!
Gozo was out off this world but the journey to the ferry terminal took ages from valetta -next time i visit Gozo i will go by seaplane from valletta.
The people were lovely,-friendly and helpful and we had a wonderful time.
I am going back later on this year and will stay at the osborne hotel again-value for money and nice people

We booked this hotel through Malta direct, no hassle from start to finish, and very competable with other companies. The hotel is centrally located near to lots of quiet bars and restaurants, not that you need them as the food in the hotel is good and plentiful on a buffet style basis.The food offered all tastes and choice

Bit basic on the accomodation side but overcompensated by excellent friendly staff in this well located hotel. Breakfast OK. Would we return....definatley!

We spent 10 days at The Osborne Hotel in Valletta - our third stay there and it was a welcome return. Our visit coincided with my partner's 65th birthday and an amazingly hot summer where temperatures at one stage soared to over 40 degrees Celsius. Back home in the UK some poor folks were experiencing heavy rain and flooding. I...

First time in Malta found the hotel good. The location was good for exploring the rest of the Island. Although the hotel was in Valletta found it quiet at night Food good staff very friendly. Tea and coffee not supplied in room need to get from restaurant. Any problems or questions were dealt with promptly.

Overall a good stay which I highly recommend. Very central to the main sights of Valetta. Staff spoke good English and were very helpful. Good restaurants nearby. The rooms were clean and comfortable with TV and air con. The rooms were of a decent size too. Breakfast was basic but fine. The hotel has a nice swimming pool on the..

we were staying in gozo for 3 weeks and took a trip to Valletta on a whim without intending to stay. this hotel was suggested by the local tourist information and it was either this or the 5* Meridian - as there were 5 of us (2 adults and 3 kids of which 2 were teenagers ) we opted for..
